The Continental Donegal
An entirely different jacket that yesterday, this Donegal jacket from French/Italian tailors Cifonelli is cut with rather high armholes and with distinct roping on the shoulders. Still there is minimal padding over the shoulders, or at least substantially less padding compared to the British tweed worn yesterday. Despite the relative modest padding, the jacket conveys a rather strong and “structured” look, giving the impression of broad shoulders which the wearer is lacking in real life.
